Day 24 - Tuesday July 9 - Homeward bound
We stayed the night at Duck Lake Lodge. A nice quiet camp away from the hustle and bustle of Glacier Park.
Before leaving the area, we decided to take a walk at the entrance of St Mary's. There was a nice trail leading from the Visitor's Center to this sign.
We saw a huge meadow of Prairie Smoke. I was always curious about the name of this native plant. Well, when you see a huge planting of it in bloom, it does resemble smoke.
These are our last images of Glacier Park and the Mountains. Driving away we could have stopped many places to take more pictures of the mountains, but by now I was tired of it.
Soon we were racing across rolling hills of Montana on the famous HiLine road #2. We spent most of the day driving, stopping for lunch and a couple of walks.
Our final destination of the day was Williston North Dakota where I splurged on a hotel for the night. The first one have stayed at in probably three weeks. Electricity, Internet, Laundry and an actual BED.
